By using our Site or providing your information to us, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

The Grebin Agency is a family-run insurance agency based in Scottsdale, AZ, serving clients since 2015. We help individuals, families, and businesses find home, auto, life, umbrella, commercial, and specialty insurance coverage. To do this, we work with one or more insurance carriers and may submit your information to them to obtain quotes and bind coverage on your behalf.

2. Information We Collect

The types of information we collect depends on how you interact with us.

a. Information you provide directly.
When you contact us, request a quote, or purchase a policy, you may provide information such as:

  • Contact details — name, mailing address, email address, and phone number.
  • Quote and policy information — information needed to assess risk and prepare quotes, which depending on the type of insurance may include date of birth, marital status, driver's license number, vehicle information, property and home details, prior insurance and claims history, occupation, and similar details.
  • Financial and identifying information — in some cases, information such as a Social Security number or financial/payment details where required to issue or service a policy.
  • Communications — the contents of messages, emails, texts, or forms you send to us.

b. Information collected automatically.
When you visit our Site, certain information may be collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including:

  • IP address and general location
  • Browser type and device information
  • Pages viewed, links clicked and time spent on our Site
  • The website or source that referred you to us

Our Site is built on WordPress and may use cookies for site functionality, security, and analytics. See Section 6 for more on cookies and your choices.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your inquiries and provide customer service;
  • prepare insurance quotes and recommend suitable coverage;
  • apply for, issue, service, and renew insurance policies on your behalf;
  • communicate with you about your policies, our services, and (where permitted) marketing offers;
  • process payments and administer your account;
  • maintain the security of our Site and prevent fraud;
  • comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal requests.

4. How We Share Your Information

  • Insurance carriers and underwriters — we share the information needed to obtain quotes, bind, and service coverage with the carrier(s) we represent. Each carrier has its own privacy practices, which govern the information once it is in their hands.
  • Agency Affiliates — we may share your information with our Partners in the event we do not have a product or risk placement for your needs. An example might be contracting with a third party Specialty Insurance Agency to access the Non-Standard/Excess Surplus market for a custom speedboat built for racing.
  • Service Providers — vendors who help us operate our business and Site (for example, hosting, email, customer relationship management, and analytics providers), who are permitted to use the information only to perform services for us.
  • Legal and Regulatory — when required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or to a state insurance regulator, or to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business Transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business.
  • With Your Consent — in any other case where you have authorized us to do so.

5. Your Choices

  • Marketing Communications — You may opt out of marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in those messages, or by contacting us using the details in Section 1. We may still send you non-marketing messages related to your policies and account.
  • Cookies — You can adjust your browser settings to refuse or delete cookies, though some Site features may not function properly as a result.
  • Updating Your Information — You may ask us to review, correct, or update the personal information we hold about you by contacting us.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies like Google Analytics to operate the Site, remember your preferences, keep the Site secure, and understand how visitors use our pages. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7. How We Protect Nonpublic Personal Information (GLBA & State Insurance Law)

As an insurance agency, we are considered a "financial institution" under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and are also subject to state insurance privacy regulations. We are committed to safeguarding the nonpublic personal information you entrust to us:

  • We restrict access to your nonpublic personal information to employees and representatives who need it to provide products or services to you.
  • We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect your information.
  • We share nonpublic personal information only as described in this Policy and as permitted by law.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We keep your personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain your policies and records, and comply with our legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations. We then dispose of it securely.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information — such as the right to access, correct, or delete it, or to opt out of certain uses. Arizona does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy law, but if you are a resident of a state that provides such rights (for example, California), those rights may apply. To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 1. We will respond as required by applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above and post the new version on this page. Significant changes may be communicated to you directly where appropriate.
